Mobiasbanca invites its clients and the public at large to explore the universe of paintings exhibited at the 5th edition of the Chisinau International Biennial of Painting, inaugurated at the National Museum of Fine Arts of Moldova.

According to the guests present at the opening event, among them Petru Lucaci, the President of the National Union of Visual Artists of Romania, Calin Stegerean, the Director of the National Museum of Art of Romania, the Chairman of the Jury, the Biennial “has become an important event of visual arts at the international level, being a vernissage of shapes, colours and trends”.

The General Secretary of Mobiasbanca Stela Ciobanu said: “The National Museum of Fine Arts is one of the most representative cultural facilities of the Republic of Moldova and a symbol of art, where anyone can delight the eye and be seduced by the valuable works in a refined environment. For Mobiasbanca it is an honour and a tradition to support art and valuable artists, including by organizing exhibitions of native artists in the premises of the bank; by supporting the current edition of the event, we intend to express once again our gratitude and appreciation for the talent that knows no bounds”.

According to the curator of the Biennial, the Director of the Museum Tudor Zbarnea, this year’s exhibition once again convinces us about the need to insist on maintaining a common space of national and international artistic capacities as wide as possible. Furthermore, for the first time, the Grand Prize of the Biennial was awarded to the Moldovan artist Igor Svernei for his work “The Land of Promise – geniuses”.

We note that 180 works of 165 plastic artists from 27 countries are exhibited within the Biennial. You will be able to admire the exhibits until June 25 of this year.
