What is ISO?

ISO is the English abbreviation for the International Organization for Standardization.

Its headquarters are in Geneva, and it has developed around 18000 quality standards over more than 50 years of activity, among which the ISO 9001 quality management system standard is the most popular.
 
All the standards issued have been approved by over 157 member states, which truly make them international standards.

 

Why ISO 9001?

Because ISO 9001 is a management strategy that aims to optimize business relationships and improve business efficiency.

ISO 9001 puts the customer first in all business processes and activities, continuously enhancing customer satisfaction from the company’s services and products.

Because ISO 9001 evaluates whether the quality management system is appropriate and effective, continually generating activities to identify and implement improvements.

ISO 9001 Certificate means an organization has met the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard, demonstrating its ability to continually deliver products or services that meet both customers’ requirements and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Why has Mobiasbancă implemented ISO?

Because we wanted to discover new opportunities to streamline the processes and enhance service/product quality.

Because we intend to provide a high quality experience to our customers, meet and anticipate their demands.

Because we have sought to improve the degree of comfort of our employees, provide them with a new quality experience, managing efficient systems and performing clear tasks.

Because we dared to get out of our comfort zone, to make sure that the processes are carried out in line with the highest standards and to provide our customers with high quality products, services and experiences.

We have found a reliable ally in ISO who pursues the same goals – product/service quality and servicing quality, focusing on customer satisfaction; monitoring, evaluation and continual improvement of processes, reduction of errors and non-conformances, efficient resource management, etc.

Thus, on 14 June 2013, Mobiasbanca received the certificate of conformity to Quality Management System in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2008 ‘Quality Management Systems. Requirements’, and became the first bank in Moldova to hold this certificate.

What has changed since 2013?

During the 4 years of ISO certification we have been developing and improving continuously, quality being the one that has defined us.

We have applied the requirements of the standard in all activities of our bank and have improved our internal processes, enabling us enhancing the quality of products and services provided to our customers.

We have promoted and implemented the ‚quality’ concept in all activities of our bank.

ISO requirements are similar to an alarm system that helps us identify possible non-conformances, malfunctions in the system, and provides us with the necessary levers to address and prevent their occurrence.

Thus, we have enhanced the trust of our customers in Mobiasbanca’s services and products.

In 2016 Mobiasbanca obtained the ISO 9001:2015 Certificate for 3 years, becoming the only bank and the first Moldovan Company certified according to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard. The ISO certification perimeter includes the following financial services: international transfers via payment orders, bank guarantees, documentary letters of credit, documentary collections and mortgage loans.

Currently, the bank is managing a functional and efficient quality management system that provides the necessary mechanisms for the ongoing development and improvement of its activity.
